I was going on one last trip with the whole moving business-thing. Straight down to the French riviera and Monaco, then back home. Easy bananas I thought. But no!
Our truck has decided to crash, so right now I'm stuck in a hotel room outside Valence, France.
Just look at this guy, who wears a white shirt while working in garage? WTF!?
Damn it. Can be tight to make it back in time for Junkfest this weekend now.
The remix of Kanye's track "Power" is off the hook!
UPDATE! I earlier wrote that Hova killed it on his verse. After a few more listenings I must say that Jay's verse was pretty ok. But Kanye's verses.. DAMN!!!!! Especially the last one is one of the best shit he has ever written.
Found this clip of Kristoffer Hultgren a.k.a. Holiday Håkan when he and some friends are skating down in the the deep valleys of Dalarna.
There's 3 things I really like about this video.
1. Håkan looking as good as ever, plus he has some mad skillz on the skateboard. 2. The editing and filming was raw, Krille Davidsson back in the game, oh yes! 3. The music! True mid- 90's skateboard punk! Bringin it back!
Here are two slideshows with lots of nice pictures taken by Daniel Tengs.
I got moving pictures from all off these sessions. You will hopefully be able to see them in the Ducksjen movie that will be released this coming fall.
The Euro Gap Crew consists basically of a bunch of finish guys such as Eero Ettala, Heikki Sorsa, Joni Malmi and Fredu Sirvio. And then off course Hampus Mosesson!
I filmed little bit with Hampus last winter but I doubt that any of the material will end up in the movie since the quality of both the riding and filming looked really really sick.
But I hope to get to film some more with Hampus this coming winter. He's such a amazing snowboarder and a really nice guy.
I hope that all of you checks out his page HOLYMOSES frequently aswell. Right now there's a lot off focus of his housebuilding business but this winter he will hopefully let us follow him around the world again.
The music was awsome, the weather amazing, the alcohol fantastic and the party spectacular!
I would say that the top 5 live performances was:
5. Wu Tang Clan 4. Miike Snow 3. Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek 2. Broken Bells 1. Marina And The Diamonds
Off course the afterparty with MRTN, Dada Life and Jack Beats was Dope aswell!
Here's some pictures and clips from the top performers. Unfortunately I couldn't find live clips from all of them. Some are videos, some are remixes and some are interviews followed by original tracks.
Please take some time to enjoy good music some day. Peace
Wu Tang showed up with almost the entire Clan. Here's the almighty Ghostface.
Miike Snow was tight as always. Here's an alternative version of their track Silvia by Sebastian Ingrosso.
Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek got a new Reflection Eternal Album released! I would suggest that you check it out. Includes this track with Bun B.
Danger Mouse and James Mercers latest project Broken Bells. Their live performance was amazing. Such great musicians. This is a clip from the Jimmy Kimmel Show.
Also check out "The Mall & Misery"
Last but not least comes a few clips from the woman off my dreams. Half Greek, half Welsh-singer/songwriter Marina Lambrini Diamandis, goes by the name of Marina and the Diamonds. What a woman. What and performer. What a musician.
I'm in love!
I'm Not A Robot
4 snippets and a small interview. Check out here album "Family Jewels"
And then, there was the afterparty "Stay Out West"
Dada Life killed it.
Fake Blood was supposed to play too but they canceled last minute and got replaced by Jack Beats.
There you have it. My longest blog post so far. Hopefully you can spend a little time in front of your computers now listening to some good tracks and maybe even discover some new ones!
Today I worked my last day on the removal company for a while. Just counted the hours I've been working from the 8th of july to the 8th of august and ended up with 375 off them.
So now I feel that I can have some time off again.
Got a trip to Umeå scheduled to collect some final shots for the Random Bastards Teaser and then I'm heading down to GBG to check out the allmighty Wu Tang Clan who performs at Way Out West.
Here's some pics from the last days off work. Our window on the truck got smashed in Paris and they stole Kire's wallet. I fucking hate Paris. Everytime I'm there something bad happens. Funny thing though; Kire didn't even wake up from his slumber when they smashed the window. We also went on a job at this US Air Force Base in Ramstein, Germany. They searched the whole truck and made us go in to this dark waitingroom. Weren't allowed to take photos inside but it was a pretty cool place. People Fuck work man, now I'm off partying!
Oh yeah, And I just watched Roxette this weekend in Sundsvall. You could almost feel the hotcom!
